# Grouped Supports

CareMaster functionality allows you to create grouped supports for participants with different funding, services, service organisations, times, and workers assigned. While a group support loosely refers to a collection of supports that are grouped - the supports within the group are still individual supports that are invoiced for and otherwise behave independently. Grouped supports can also be created as recurring supports.

**How to create a grouped support**

Create a support as normal to bring up the below window, and tick the **Grouped support** tickbox. ![](https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/aus-cdn.freshdesk.com/data/helpdesk/attachments/production/51117152598/original/bKM0PfHCAbD4L1rY_gPkKFO1QPGiX6bXqw.png?1692055279)

Add support to the group using the Add participant field.

You can add as many participants as you like and it will create New Support 2, New Support 3...

Additionally you can press Duplicate Support, and it will allow you to copy the input details of Date, time, Service Organisation, Service type, Assigned Worker, Transport and Status Flags.

\*\*Make sure each user has the right Service types based on their funding as it may copy across services they are not approved for.

**Shared Support Details**
The details in the bottom section are shared between all support records within the group. ![](https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/aus-cdn.freshdesk.com/data/helpdesk/attachments/production/51010895253/original/9eEWLmDAoiv43ja08yDCmf32UsbeO0l9dQ.png?1609389646)

**Adding a support to an existing grouped support**

Go to the support screen of any support within the existing grouped support.

Use the Add participant field to add a new support to the existing grouped support.

**Deleting supports that exist in a grouped support**

Supports can be deleted just like any supports, by using the Trash bin icon in the Support List. You'll be asked if you want to delete all supports in the group or not.

**Removing Supports from a grouped support**

Go into any support that's within the group, and click on the X icons next to the particpant's names to remove that support from the group. Upon saving that support will still be in CareMaster, but not part of the group.
