# Public Holidays

You can create Public Holidays in CareMaster. Public Holidays are required to be entered for Public Holiday rates to apply.

Please note\* if there is a part day public holiday CareMaster will apply the public holiday for the full day. 

Staff will be paid for the state they are in based on either the state listed in the Admin > Company Details or the Region/Location which can be entered on a staff members profile under Organisational Information. If there is no location entered on a staff members profile CareMaster will default to the Company Details state.


Region/Location’s can be entered under Data > Location Data > Region/Location


Public Holidays in CareMaster are available under Data > Miscellaneous > Public Holidays

CareMaster can import from the API the Public Holidays and does so automatically every 3 months. You can also import them at any time by selecting Import from API

You can also add a Public Holiday by selecting + Add New Public Holiday

You can add LGA restricted Public Holidays as some public holidays are only observed in particular areas. 


To do this select + Add New Public Holiday and enter the date, Holiday name, State and select the LGA. Select Create

You will then need to add the Primary LGA to the staff profile under Vitals

Once this is done the public holiday rate should apply to workers for Public Holidays for their respective LGA’s


You can delete public holidays by selecting the delete button available on the left hand side.
