We’re excited to share the latest updates and improvements in this release! Here’s what’s new:


# 🛠️Updates and Improvements:

### Driver App GPS Accuracy Improvements

We've made several improvements to GPS tracking in the Driver App to help reduce instances where bookings record a distance of 0 km and to improve the overall accuracy of distance calculations.

#### Improved Distance Tracking

* GPS locations are now captured more frequently during a journey, resulting in more accurate distance calculations.
* Additional location points are recorded around road curves and turns, improving route accuracy.
* Enhanced motion detection helps ensure GPS tracking remains active throughout the entire journey, including at highway speeds.

#### Better Tracking While Stopped

* The Driver App now records location updates more frequently when a vehicle is stationary, helping maintain accurate journey data during pickups and drop-offs.

#### Driver Action Required

To support these improvements, the Driver App requires access to motion and activity permissions on mobile devices.

##### **iPhone (iOS)**

For drivers who have previously denied this permission:

* The app will prompt for access when starting their first journey after updating.
* If the prompt does not appear, enable the permission manually by going to:
  **Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → Trips**

##### **Android** 

No action required 

* This permission is required to ensure accurate location tracking during journeys.

#### Verification Page Update

* Actual Distance, Odometer and Dead Running values are now stored and displayed with decimal precision rather than being rounded to whole kilometres, providing greater accuracy when reviewing completed trips.
