Release Notes 2.85.0
We’re excited to share the latest updates and improvements in this release! Here’s what’s new:
🛠️Updates and Improvements:
🛠️ Validation Added to Prevent Cross-Date Booking Allocations
Instances were reported in which the system allowed bookings to be assigned to a vehicle run on the wrong date. This occurred when the unallocated bookings list failed to reload when switching dates and the user continued with the allocation process. Validation has now been added to prevent bookings from being dragged across dates, ensuring allocations stay accurate.
🚚 Improvements to Recurring Vehicle Runs
Recurring vehicle runs now retain all entered details—such as driver, vehicle, and description—across future recurrences. Issue resolved in which only time and depot address were carried forward. PLEASE NOTE: We have an issue with users no longer being able to edit or remove past recurring runs. A fix is being worked on, and this will be released asap.

📍 “Create Location” Option Now Functioning Across the App
The “Create Location” option within the location search dropdown now works as expected. Users can successfully create new locations from all relevant areas of the application where this feature is available.
🗑️ Deleting Group Booking Templates
Users can now delete group booking templates. When a template is deleted, it is soft deleted, meaning it won’t be available for future use, but any existing bookings made using that template will stay in the system. If a template is linked to future bookings, a warning message will appear to let users know that those bookings will not be removed. This message includes links to the relevant group booking identifiers. Clicking a link will open the “All Bookings” page with the identifier pre-filled in the search bar, making it easy to find related bookings.
📉 Slow Custom Report Downloads
Large custom reports were causing delays for some users. Multiple improvements have been made to help enhance the user experience when downloading large reports.
⏱️ Run Time and Date Validation
Users were previously able to update a run’s start or end time/date in ways that resulted in invalid timeframes—such as setting an end date earlier than the start date. These changes could disrupt reported run time data for journeys.
Validation has now been introduced to prevent and warn users when attempting the following:
- Setting the start time (scheduled or actual) to a time after the end time
- Setting the end time (scheduled or actual) to a time before the start time
- Setting the start date (scheduled or actual) to a date after the end date
- Setting the end date (scheduled or actual) to a date before the start date
When any of these conditions are detected, users will receive a validation warning and will need to adjust the times or dates before changes can be saved.
📍 Location Type Now Displays Correctly in Search
While location types were saving correctly, they were not appearing as expected. This issue has been resolved - location types will now display accurately in search results as well as in the full list.
