Group Bookings – Improvement When Creating using a Blank Template

Previously, applying a blank template would unexpectedly populate the form with 45–50 unrelated clients. The behaviour has been corrected to ensure only templates with saved clients pull through Client data. Selecting a blank group booking template in the Create Booking form will now result in an empty client list, as intended.

Driver App – Midnight Cancellation Notifications Refined

Drivers will now get cancellation notifications right away, instead of overnight.

Previously, these alerts were sent around midnight when the system processed cancellation fees (if applicable). Now, notifications are sent immediately, while fee processing happens separately in the background.

Driver App – Break Time Now Displays in Local Time

When a driver starts a break in the app, the break time will now consistently display in local time.

Previously, the correct time would briefly appear before converting to UTC. This has been corrected to ensure that break times remain accurate and aligned with the driver’s local timezone throughout the session.

Booking Form, Print Runsheet & Driver App – Standardised Booking Notes and New Internal Notes Field Introduced

We’ve made several improvements to fix inconsistencies in how booking notes are labelled, displayed, and used across the platform. These changes aim to provide clearer separation between internal communication, driver instructions, and ensure consistent behaviour throughout the TRIPS Web platform.

Key updates:

🔹 New “Internal Booking Notes” field added to the booking form – Intended for internal use only (e.g. account details) – Will not appear on the print run sheet or Driver App – Added to the query builder for reporting – Editable from the Booking Details Page and the booking form

🔹 “General Booking Notes” will continue to appear on the print run sheet but will now also push to the Driver App, ensuring all key booking instructions are visible to drivers

🔹 “Message to Driver” field standardised – Replaces “Trip Notes” in the Driver App – Changes made to this field are now reflected consistently across the platform, including the print run sheet

🔹 Print Runsheet wording updated – “Client Notes” renamed to “Message to Driver” – “Booking Notes” renamed to “General Booking Notes” – Field names updated in the query builder for accurate reporting PLEASE NOTE: Query Builder Fields-

Verification – Odometer Values Retained After Time Entry

Previously, when users entered start and end odometer values, followed by actual start and end times, the odometer fields were unexpectedly cleared—triggering an error during run verification and displaying a value of 0 after a page refresh.

This behaviour has now been corrected. Odometer readings will remain in place when actual times are entered and will persist through page refreshes, ensuring a more stable and accurate verification process. Please note: some new logic has been introduced. Please see screenshots below:
