Release Notes 2.91.0
We’re excited to share the latest updates and improvements in this release! Here’s what’s new:
🛠️ Updates and Improvements
Real-Time Driver App Updates for Deallocated Bookings
We’ve fixed an issue where bookings that were deallocated from a vehicle did not trigger a real-time update in the Driver App. Previously, drivers would still see the removed booking until a refresh was completed, and no notification was sent to indicate the change.
With this update, when a user deallocates a booking from a vehicle, a push notification is now sent instantly to the Driver App, and the booking is automatically removed from the driver’s run. To further improve clarity, booking update messages now include more detail, so drivers can easily identify whether a booking has been updated or unallocated.
Fix for Incorrect Estimated Times in Bookings
We’ve fixed an issue where some bookings showed the estimated arrival time at the destination before the planned departure time from the origin. This was caused by the system using both estimated departure and arrival times from the optimiser, which sometimes conflicted.
The logic has now been updated to use only one estimated time based on the booking schedule, so the timing now makes sense and matches the planned trip.
Delete Cancellation Reasons in the UI
You can now delete cancellation reasons directly in the UI, helping reduce clutter and keep the list relevant as your business needs change.
When a cancellation reason is soft deleted, it will no longer appear as an option when cancelling bookings- either in the office or in the driver app. However, it will still be visible on any past or future bookings that have already used it, ensuring reporting accuracy is maintained.
PLEASE NOTE: In order for cancellation reasons to be removed straight away from the driver’s app, a reset of the cache will be required. To do this; drivers will need to navigate to menu > about > Reset Local Refreshable Caches
Improved Search in Allocated Bookings View
We’ve updated the way client and location searches work on the Allocations page to make it easier to understand each booking within the full vehicle run.
Previously, when searching for a client, the system would only show that client’s bookings- removing the rest of the vehicle run from view. Now, when a user searches for a client (or a location), the system will filter down to only show runs that contain matching bookings, and when opening those runs, the entire run is visible, with the matching bookings clearly highlighted in red.
This change helps users see the full context of the run while still making the searched bookings stand out for quick reference and action.
Fix Historical Distance Display on Multi-Stop Bookings
We've fixed an issue where the Use Historical Distance setting was at times not displaying correctly on multi-stop bookings. Previously, it may have only showed as being used from stop 2 onwards, even when it was applied from stop 1. This has now been corrected, and the setting will display accurately across all stops.

DEX Export Update - Time Field Now Mandatory and Updated Service Type ID’s
As of 1 July 2025, the Time (Hours and Minutes) field in the DEX export became mandatory due to updated Australian Government reporting requirements. This field was previously optional. The export file has been updated to reflect this change and send the time information in the correct format. We have also updated the service type id’s for both direct and indirect transport to reflect the updates issued by the Commonwealth.
Query Builder Enhancement - Group Name Added to Customer Reports
We’ve added the “Group Name” field from the group booking templates to the bookings module in the Query Builder. This means you can now select and include the group booking template’s Group Name in your customer reports. group_booking_template.name
Query Builder Report Export Issue with Large Data Sets
We identified an issue where reports containing very large data sets (e.g., 34,000+ lines) failed to download successfully. While the query ran, the export process was encountering failures at the database level when handling such large volumes. Improvements have been made to ensure large reports can be exported reliably going forward.
Improved Error Message for Incorrect Day Booking Allocations
We’ve enhanced the error message shown when a user tries to allocate a booking from a different day than the one, they are currently viewing. Previously, the message was unclear and didn’t provide helpful guidance.
Now, users will see the following message: “There was an error processing your allocations. Please refresh the page and try again. If the problem continues, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.”
Licence Limit Validation for Office Users
A new validation has been added to communicate the maximum number of web users allowed per organisation has been exceeded. When the user limit is reached, office users will now see the following message: “User Limit Reached. The maximum number of web users for your organisation has been reached. Please ask your administrator to contact TRIPS if you need to increase your user licence limit.”
Booking Costs Correction on Booking Details, Run Sheets and Driver App
We’ve fixed an issue where the booking cost amounts shown on the booking details page, printed run sheets and the driver app did not match the total cost displayed on the booking form for some recurring bookings. This update ensures that cost amounts are now consistent and accurate across all views and documents.
Query Builder - Role Permissions Respect Saved Selections
An issue where newly created roles did not have their selected report permissions, such as saving and sharing reports properly applied has been resolved.
With this fix, report permissions will now behave as expected based on the settings chosen when creating or editing roles, ensuring users have the correct access.
