# 🚀 Software Release Overview: 16.86.05-06 🚀

**CareMaster Release — NDIS 2026-27 Catalogue Updates**

We're pleased to share the system improvements included in versions 16.86.05 and 16.86.06, which address changes to the NDIS Support Catalogue effective 1 July 2026.



# **16.86.05**

NDIS Catalogue Importer — New 0138 registration group

 The importer now correctly handles services under the new 0138 Supported Independent Living registration group, which previously caused an error.



# **16.86.06**

NDIS Catalogue Importer — 2026-27 catalogue compatibility

 The importer has been updated to handle the following structural changes in the new catalogue file:

* **National pricing column** — the new catalogue replaces the 8 state-based price columns (ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA) with a single National price column

**Support type rename** — "Price Limited Supports" has been renamed to "Priced Supports" in the Type column

Therapy provider travel — transition to _PT support items

 From 1 July 2026, the NDIS requires provider travel for therapy supports to be claimed against dedicated _PT support items (already priced at 50% of the direct service rate), replacing the previous calculation-based approach. We are working on this update and will release it shortly. Supports dated before 1 July 2026 are unaffected.



# **Summary of key catalogue changes — 2026-27**

For reference, here is a summary of the main changes in the 2026-27 NDIS Support Catalogue:

* **340 new support items** — therapy supports (cancellations, telehealth, provider travel, non-face-to-face, NDIA reports) are now individual line items rather than bundled into a single entry
* **24 supports removed or retired** — 16 old ratio-based STA items (1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4) moved to Legacy; 8 other items removed from the catalogue entirely; a further 11 previously Legacy items fully retired
* **Short Term Accommodation restructured** — old ratio-based STA items replaced with separate items for participant accommodation, worker accommodation, and support hours; service agreements will need updating
* **95 supports renamed** — therapy and early childhood items have simplified names (e.g. "Therapy — Occupational Therapist — Direct Service"); item numbers unchanged
* **State price columns replaced** — single National price column now used in place of 8 state columns *(addressed in 16.86.06)*
* **Support type renamed** — "Price Limited Supports" is now "Priced Supports" *(addressed in 16.86.06)*
* **Provider travel for therapy supports** — from 1 July 2026, claimed against dedicated _PT items at 50% of the direct service rate *(coming soon)*
* **Price increases of 4.8%** for most support worker, SIL, and nursing supports; 3.6% for domestic supports; Support Coordination and Plan Management unchanged
* **Notable therapy price changes** — psychologists and specialist behaviour support +8.6%; dietitians -5.3%; exercise physiologists -3.0%; music therapists and other professionals -19.5%
* **New registration group 0138** for Supported Independent Living alongside the existing 0115 group *(addressed in 16.86.05)*
