# TRIPS Web – How to Allocate a Driver to a Vehicle Run / Container

To allocate a driver to a vehicle run, please use one of the below options:

## **Option 1 - Within the vehicle’s profile** 

**Step 1 -** From the main menu select *“Vehicle’s”.*

**Step 2 -** Scroll or use the filter to locate the vehicle you wish to assign the Driver to a run / container within.

**Step 3 -** By selecting your vehicle the vehicles profile will open.

**Step 4 -** To create a run / container to assign the Driver to, double-click on the desired day to open the *“Create Vehicle Run”* window where you can enter all the run details and select the Driver. Alternatively, you can click once holding down on the mouse whilst dragging your cursor down to choose the window of time. When you release the cursor, the *“Create Vehicle Run”* window will appear with the selected time pre-filled, allowing you to complete the details and finalise the runs creation.

## **Option 2 - Within the Drivers Profile**

**Step 1 -** Select *“Drivers > All Drivers”* from the Main menu.

**Step 2 -** Scroll or use the filter to locate the Driver you wish to assign to a run.

**Step 3 -** By selecting your Driver the Drivers profile will open.

**Step 4 -** Select *“Vehicle Run Schedule”*.

**Step 5 -** To create a run to assign the Driver to, double-click on the desired day to open the *“Create Vehicle Run”* window where you can enter all the run details and select the Driver. Alternatively, you can click once holding down on the mouse whilst dragging your cursor down to choose the window of time. When you release the cursor, the *“Create Vehicle Run”* window will appear with the selected time pre-filled, allowing you to complete the details and finalise the runs creation.


## Option 3 - Within the Allocations Page

**Step 1 -** Select *“Allocations”* from the main menu.

**Step 2 -** Using the date field or arrows navigate to the date in which a Driver is required to be assigned.

**Step 3 -** From within the *“Vehicle Runs”* column locate the vehicle run in which the driver requires assignment and *click on* the Vehicle Run ID to open the *“Update Vehicle Run”* form.

**Step 4 -**
Select the Driver from the “Driver” drop down. Alternately if the Driver is not visible, click on the *“Create Availability for the selected driver to create vehicle run”* box to enable you to select from all Drivers. Once you have selected the Driver using either of the methods stated, select *“Update Vehicle Run”*.
