# **To create a vehicle in the TRIPS Web Application:**

**Step 1 -** From the main menu select *“Vehicles”*.

**Step 3 -** Ensure you have entered all details within the fields marked with an asterisks. 
**PLEASE NOTE:** Adding a vehicle name will help when it comes to allocations.

**PLEASE NOTE:**

* VIN Number requires 17 characters; a red warning message will appear until populated.
* Modification date must be a date in the past. 
* Indirect vehicles are Contractors/TAXI’s/Ride Share. 
* Starting odometer must be at least 1000+. 
* “Licence Required” is not a mandatory field, but is essential if using Auto Allocations

*The “Create Vehicle”* button will be faded and inactive as pictured below until all required fields marked with an asterisk have been populated.

**Step 4 -** You can now select *“Create Vehicle”*.

**Step 5 -** Your newly created vehicles profile will load.

**Step 6 -** By clicking on the three vertical dots menu a drop down will appear giving the option to edit or delete the vehicle.  ![](https://support.caremaster.com.au/api/attachments.redirect?id=d3d815d4-127d-49c0-a719-c2bbe25f23a5)


There is also a *“Delete Vehicle”* button below *“Notes”* within the Vehicle Information section as pictured below.

**PLEASE NOTE:** when a vehicle is deleted it is soft deleted, data remains stored in the backend.
