TRIPS Web - How to Disable Autofill in Internet Browsers

Autofill suggestions in your internet browser can sometimes interfere with TRIPS Web functionality, particularly with drop-down menus such as the Locations field in the booking form. When the browser automatically suggests previously entered values, it can obstruct the menu options, making it difficult to select the correct entry, and incorrectly populate the field. To prevent this, you can disable autofill in your browser:

For Google Chrome:

  1. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner and go to Settings.
  2. Select Autofill and passwords.
  3. Turn off the toggles for Passwords, Payment methods, and Addresses and more as needed.

For Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner and go to Settings.
  2. Select Profiles, then choose Passwords, Payment info, or Addresses and more.
  3. Turn off the toggles for “Offer to save passwords,” “Save and fill payment info,” and “Save and fill basic info.”

Optionally, you can also clear previously saved autofill data by going to Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data and selecting Autofill form data and/or Passwords. Following these steps ensures that TRIPS Web drop-down menus work smoothly without obstruction from browser suggestions.

Note auto fill address menu obstructing TRIPS locations menu- dropdown. The field background is blue when an auto filled address is populated. The field background is white when an address is selected from the TRIPS locations menu- dropdown.
