# TRIPS Web - How to setup a Vehicle Configuration

Use this guide to assist you with creating and editing vehicle configurations

## Creating a Vehicle configuration

**Step 1 -** From the main menu click on vehicles > Select the vehicle from the list view, alternatively use the search field to locate the vehicle. By clicking on the vehicle name the vehicle profile page will open.

**Step 2 -** Click on the Vehicle Configuration tab > click on Add Configuration. ![](https://support.caremaster.com.au/api/attachments.redirect?id=df0db029-c6e5-421e-b9c1-bded84bc8557)


**Step 3 -** Enter a name for the configuration > enter all other applicable seating details > click on Create Configuration.

Your configuration is now saved and visible.

## Editing or deleting an existing configuration

**Step 1 -** To edit a an existing configuration, click on Edit beside the existing configuration within the Vehicle Configuration tab on the Vehicle profile.

**Step 2 -** Make the required changes and click *“Update configuration”* to save the changes. Alternatively delete the configuration by clicking *“Delete”*.

## Adding an additional Vehicle Configuration

Multiple vehicle configurations can now be added to offer flexibility and customisation when using the auto allocate feature. 

**Step1 -** From the Vehicle Configuration tab on the Vehicle profile select *“Add configuration”*.

**Step 2 -** Enter required details and click “Create Configuration” to save.

**Step 3 -** The configuration created will appear below the existing configuration in the list on the vehicle profile Vehicle configurations tab.

**PLEASE NOTE:** A vehicle configuration is necessary to enable the creation of a vehicle run/s. If a configuration is not saved for the vehicle, the system will alert the user. This ensures that all vehicle runs are created with complete and accurate information, enhancing operational reliability.
