# Before Generating statements checklist:

Please review and complete the steps below. If these actions are not taken, participant statements will be generated with missing or incorrect information.

**1️⃣ Finalise your claims**  Complete all claiming in the **Aged Care Provider Portal**, then:

* Download your **Payment Statement XML file**
* Upload it into CareMaster

👉 Only **claimed supports** will appear in Participant Statements.  This ensures **accurate subsidy and participant contribution amounts** for the statement period.

**2️⃣ Re-upload recent payment statements**  If you have already uploaded payment data, please **re-upload XML files for:**

* November / December  / January  / February

This is required due to improvements to reconciliation and budget attribution.

Upload via: **Support at Home → Claiming → Bulk Upload**

**3️⃣ Re-download older XML files (if applicable)**  If your XML files were downloaded **before 23 January**, you must:

* Re-download them from the Aged Care Provider Portal
* Re-upload them to CareMaster

**Why?**  Services Australia resolved an issue on **22 January** where budget drawdown data was missing from XML files.  Files downloaded earlier **do not contain the required information** for accurate statements.
