Overview

The Vehicle Type Setting allows an organisation to set what vehicle types are available to their users in the TRIPS application. This feature also makes it quicker and easier when creating new clients as users will only see the vehicle types for selection that are relevant to your organisation.

When adjusting these vehicle type org settings, they will be referring to the default booking requirements on the client profile page.

Vehicle Type Available

Vehicle type available allows you to turn off certain vehicle types so that they become unavailable for a user to select when creating a new client, editing an existing client and creating a booking, allowing for accurate data recording.

Selected by Default

Selected by default allows you to set certain vehicle types as defaulted to “on” for a user when creating a new client, allowing for more efficient and accurate data recording.

Seating Options

Seating options are added on to each vehicle type section and you can only toggle on if you want these set as selected by default. Seating options cannot be toggled available and unavailable as seating is a mandatory requirement for allocations.

Different Vehicle Categories

You have the ability to set these settings on the following vehicle type categories within TRIPS.

• Standard Vehicles
• Vans
• Buses
• Taxis

Once this has been set within your organisation settings, this will determine what displays when creating a new client (please see example below)
