There are two CHSP reporting periods, Jan-Jun and Jul-Dec. The DEX reporting deadline is 30 days after the end of each period, making the due dates 30th of January and 30th of July. After this date, the DEX portal will prevent any further data from being synced from Client Central, this can only be overridden by the DEX helpdesk after a successful extension request.


A few things to note for ease of use:

* **Put together a process or timeline for regular syncing**. Syncing early and often is the way to go, we recommend syncing monthly. The demands on our Customer Care Team and the DEX helpdesk increase quickly around the due dates, any issues are best resolved as soon as possible. How this gets done will vary greatly depending on your size and structure, but an example procedure would be;
  * Finalise each month's data by mid next month. Ask any/all relevant departments to confirm that their data is finalised and ready for reporting before proceeding
  * After confirming that the data is ready, sync data to DEX Portal. This can be handled by multiple people where needed, although it should be noted that when doing a sync from CareMaster it will sync all data in the timerange and service organisation.
  * Pick a designated person/small co-ordinated team to handle DEX syncing. You do not want multiple people each trying to do a sync simultaneously, this will cause issues.
* **Pick a date range, and work with that same date range through the sync process**. This makes it a lot easier for everyone to keep track of where syncing is up to, track down any data issues and clarify amongst the team what has or hasn't been synced.
* **Never start a new export without completing previous ones**. Eg don't do a partially successful sync from CareMaster to the DEX portal and start a new service export from CareMaster because there were extra items you needed to add in. Complete your initial DEX sync before doing any further exports for that date range if needed.
