TRIPS Web - Organisation Settings - Booking Service Types
TRIPS Web allows you to set up multiple Booking Service Types to reflect the different kinds of transport your organisation provides, for example, medical, social outings, or school transport. These service types help you organise, allocate, and report on bookings more easily.
To Create or Edit a Booking Service Type within the TRIPS Web Application
Step 1 - Click on your name in the top right-hand corner and select “Organisation Settings” from the drop-down menu.
PLEASE NOTE: A Users role and permissions will determine if the Organisation Settings page is visible to the User.
Step 2 - Select “Manage Booking Service Types” to enable you to view, create or adjust booking service types for your organisation.
Step 3 - To add a new booking service type, click on the blue “+ Create Booking Service Type” button to open the “Create Booking Service Type” form. Alternatively, to edit an existing booking service type select the edit icon beside the booking service type.
Step 4 - Within the “Create Booking Service Type” form populate all fields marked with an asterisk and click “Create Service Type”.
IMPORTANT: The flexibility for booking service types is linked to the optimiser so it is important to make sure that these are entered correctly if you will be auto allocating. The origin timing flexibility will be used when a booking is entered as a pickup, and the destination timing will be used when a booking is entered as a drop-off.
Deactivating a Booking Service Type
Step 1 - To deactivate a booking service type, select the “Edit” icon beside the booking service type.
Step 2 - From within the “Update Booking Service Type” form select the red “Deactivate” button.
Step 3 - To complete the deactivation of the service type, choose an active service type from the drop-down menu to re-assign to all future bookings. Once selected, click the red “Deactivate” button to finalise the process.
IMPORTANT: Existing bookings that are re-assigned to the newly selected service type will not have their flexibility windows updated. If you wish for all the existing bookings to have their flexibility updated to the new service type, for now, this will need to be done by manually editing bookings.
