To ensure that you do not create duplicate workers in Xero, we recommend that you check the Missing from CareMaster section in Admin →Integrations → Xero → Workers BEFORE syncing any workers to Xero.

On the off chance you have created some duplicates in Xero, these are easy enough to fix up by the following:


1. \
   you will need to first delete the duplicate record in Xero.Instructions on how to do so are here: <https://central.xero.com/s/article/Delete-an-employee-and-end-their-employment-AU>
2. go back into CareMaster then Admin → Integrations → Xero → Workers and update your data from Xero using the Get From Xero button.

3. click on the Unlinked Xero Employees

This page lists all workers in CM, and then has a dropdown of potential matches from Xero. It will suggest the first record from Xero whose First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth match.


4. Find the worker record and make sure to select the appropriate Xero record in the dropdown.

Click on the Link Selected Workers button to link any workers who have something selected in the drop down.

You have now linked a record in Xero to a record in CareMaster without creating any duplicates!

If you do not see a Xero record for a worker, they may already be linked to another CM record.
